Welcome to our new travel series, where we’ll be highlighting different places around North Carolina. After Hurricane Helene, much of NC was heavily affected, but the state is recovering, businesses are re-opening and memories are ready to be made. Join us as we see what’s out there!

For today’s trip, we visit the village of Flat Rock in Henderson County NC. Aisha and her family stopped for brunch at Hubbaloo, a cozy spot full of color, charm, and warmth. Local art lines the walls, pancakes are as big as your face, and yes, a real rooster struts around like he owns the place.
