One of the newest organizations seeking to address affordable housing is the Asheville-Buncombe Community Land Trust (ABCLT). We spoke with Executive Director, Anna Zuevskaya about our housing crisis and the role that land trusts can play. The ABCLT, which was established with a $1 million grant from a city bond issue, has just placed its first house on the market. Ms. Zuevskaya describes the unique features of land trusts as a solution to affordable housing and the pros and cons for would-be buyers.
